Our History

Dear Zazi FamilyA WARM WELCOME TO YOU.

Thank you for being part of the social movement that advocates for self-awareness, self-love, and self-confidence. “Zazi Zithande Zithembe”, when loosely translated means “Know Yourself. Love Yourself. Trust Yourself.

In August 2012, I founded a movement which had a clear mission, broken down into three main aims:

  • To celebrate and honour women
  • To change the status quo in terms of what women can achieve
  • To create a platform for women to thrive

It has been a long journey since then touching lives and making an impact along the way.

The year 2020 brought with it many challenges, tests, and lows, creating a need to look deep within ourselves, to find ourselves, our passion and our purpose and to create new meaning post the pandemic.  Never has “The Self” conversation been more important.  Never has it been more crucial to understand that everything we need to reset, to restart, to recreate is within us.  It was with this in mind that I gave birth to the “Zazi Zithande Zithembe” range of merchandise, giving our members the opportunity to literally wear the hearts (and their values) on their sleeves.

I hope that each time you don a “Zazi Zithande Zithembe” item, you will put on your best self and that you will wear the values too, until you can no longer take them off, until YOU BECOME THEM.

“Zazi. Zithande. Zithembe”:  It’s not just a clothing range.  It’s a conversation.  It’s a set of values.

IT’S A MOVEMENT.

Regards,
